Med Student, Intern, Resident, Attending Physician – What’s the difference?

February 28, 2019 –Before being treated by our physicians, our patients are asked if they would consent to have a resident, intern or student involved in their care. Would you know how to give an informed answer to that question? Do you know the differences between a student, intern, resident, attending physician, and consulting physician?  Many of us do not.  Here’s some information to help clear up the confusion.

JABSOM Career Night includes UHP faculty doctors

November 1, 2018 — On October 10, JABSOM hosted its annual AAMC Career Night. UHP physicians from various departments sat down with first- and second-year students to share their experiences in their respective fields.

October 5, 2018 –Every year, the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) participates in the annual Men’s March Against Domestic Violence. To create camaraderie and partnership with the medical school and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, University Health Partners also played a role in building awareness for domestic violence.
